At this point, one
thing that we cannot deny is that our world is dire in need of is leadership.
Yes, leadership! Men and women that can proffer solution and inspire others to
do the same. Men that can sacrifice self at the altar of global transformation.
The world is not in need of Pastors, Bishops, Deacons, Doctors, Arch Bishops,
Honourables, His Excellencies, His Royal Highnesses, Engineers, etc. No, the
world is not in need of title holders because we have a lot of them! What we
need right now are men that are physically, mentally and spiritually sound, men
endued with the Spirit of leadership!
At this point, let us
note that there are two spirits that enable and empower leadership- the
leadership spirit and the Spirit of leadership. Every man is born with a
leadership spirit. That is what the Bible refers to as the spirit of man. Man
from creation, is a spirit being that has a soul and lives in a body. It is
this spirit that drives and motivates man towards achievement. It is this
spirit that drives us to constantly quest for success. Despite how this
necessary this spirit is it is not sufficient enough to drive the needed
transformation because it is corrupt from birth. This explains why after
striving so hard to succeed to no avail, we sought for short cuts. Our Spirit
man needs to be empowered by a bigger Spirit, God’s Spirit of Leadership-The
Holy Spirit. Even Jesus needed this Spirit of Leadership before He could be
born (Luke 1:34-35). He also needed this Spirit to proceed into His ministry (Matthew
3:16-17). When it was time to be raised from the dead, it couldn’t happen
without the Spirit (Romans 8:11). Even when God was to create the world, This
Spirit of Leadership had to be available before God could speak (Genesis
1:2&3). In Luke 24:49, Jesus instructed the disciples to tarry in Jerusalem
until they had received the power of this Spirit. Peter summarized the
awesomeness and efficacy of this Spirit when he said, “How God anointed Jesus
of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost(The Spirit of Leadership) and power: who went
about doing good…”(Acts 10:38). Whenever there is a move for positive global
impact, it cannot occur without the Spirit of God which is this Spirit of
Leadership. When Jesus said to His disciple, “Come and I will make you fishers
of men…” what He was actually saying was “Come and I will make you men that
will in turn influence men”. In other worlds as fishermen draw fishes out the
water so will you be able to draw men not with net but with influence.
Friends, the Holy
Spirit which is this Spirit of leadership is the only sufficient requirement
for global impact and transformation. The human motivated spirit is only
necessary but never sufficient to transform our world! Unfortunately, those of
us that carry this Holy Spirit have decided to hide the power thereof. We
refuse to participate in societal transformation thereby refusing our world of this much needed
influence of the Holy Spirit just like the teaching of a candle lighted but put
under a bushel. The divine assignment of
the Holy Spirit in our lives as Christians is not to give us money, cars, jobs
or even to rain down fire on the witches and wizards in our communities or kill
all our enemies as we constantly ask in prayer rather the singular work of the
Holy Spirit is fill us with divine empowerment that will enable us impose the
Kingdom of God on the this earth. He is our light that enables us to arise and
shine. It is only the kingdom of God that guarantees the well sought after
positive global transformation. Please, it is needful to note that God’s
Kingdom here is not referring to host of angels with heavy sharp blades coming
down from heaven to declare war on the earth. Rather the Kingdom of God refers
to a divine culture and way of life. The Spirit of Leadership is able to
transform us and empower us to transfer heaven’s unfailing culture, values into
the world. The world system says you need to work hard and gather enough money
that will sustain you for your life time as well as that of your descendants
but the Kingdom’s culture says you make wealth so you can give back. The world
says we lead by ruling, the Kingdom says we lead by serving. The world system
says a man’s life consists of what he has but the Kingdom system says No! A
man’s life consists of what he is able to give. The world system says , “Do
what ever you find, just make sure you get rich or die trying!”. The Kingdom
says, “Follow your divine purpose and passion and you will not have to die trying
to be rich!”
The revolution has
started! God is raising a generation filled with the Spirit of Leadership and
you can be a part of it by just believing and accepting the invitation to be a
part of God’s family-The family of men that turn the world around!

us, in that conference, men of the Spirit that will turn the world around for
the Kingdom!
