10 ATTITUDES OF GLOBAL WALL BUILDERS (Part 1)

Walls serve as defence. They also represent dignity and glory.Mighty cities in those days had gigantic walls as the signature of their greatness. Fallen walls,on the other hand,are synonymous to reproach,indignity and shame.

Our societal walls today are fallen and the whole world sincerely desires wall builders to help rebuild the fallen walls in honour,service and dominion.Wall builders are indeed of great demand in our families,corporate institutions and government.

Today we share 10 great attitudes that will make you the wall builder of your generation.

•ATTITUDE1:CONCERN

The world is crowded with 'I' people.Persons that think of nothing else but themselves. Despite dwelling in faraway land,the man Nehemiah was filled with concern for Isreal and her fallen walls.What is your attitude towards the menace in your society?

•ATTITUDE 2:FORESIGHT 

One key reason for the gross embezzlement and corruption evident in our society is failure on the part of men to see beyond their nose.We must learn to think through carefully before we act.Today we blame our fathers for the socio-politico-economic situation we are currently going through but the question remains:With our current attitude,what is the hope of our children unborn?

•ATTITUDE 3:CLEAR DECISION 

Wall builders are definite in their approach. They know what they want and they go for it.I hear students and young graduates say,"I want to work in oil campany,Bank,etc".I always wonder,"What will you be doing in the oil company? What do you have to offer?" If we must be the wall builders our generation sought for,we must be definite.We decided that we will be a human capacity and community development organisation and we are on it.We have failed many times but we never quit!

•ATTITUDE 4:COURAGE

Wall builders are men of courage.In the words of Nehemiah,"And I said,Should such a man as I flee?And who is there,that,being as I am,would go into the temple to save his life?I will not go in"(Nehemiah6:11).Corruption,suicide,cultism and other social abnormalities are all birthed and groomed in cowardice. Go head on with those challenges and emerge a conqueror.

 •ATTITUDE 5: PRAYER

Except the Lord builds,they that build,build in vain.We have thrown away God in our social life and so we are overwhelmed by the crisis.There is a call to connect back to the spiritual.When mortality connects to divinity,success is indeed an assured reality.Jesus Christ is indeed the answer for the world today and beside him there is no other!(To be Contd.)

THE LEADER'S DIARY Thursday 13th October 2016 MAXIMISING THE GRACE FOR EXPLOIT "And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploit."_ Daniel 11:32 Life is a total flop without exploit. Knowing God enables us to be strong but that is not enough. There is also the human part of DOING exploit with our God given strength.The essence of divine enablement is so we can do exploit! Exploit begins with taking up the responsibility of impacting our world. Unfortunately,folks go to church,dance and shout "hallelujah!" and when they come out to meet the whole world waiting for their manifestation,they just act as though God gave them nothing for their generation while they met with Him in worship. Are you one of those denying your generation of God's strength(potentials) in you? A great exploit must have 3 cardinal impact: 1. Meeting the expectation of those before us; 2. Affecting the lives of those with us; and 3. Leaving a legacy for those after us to follow. Is your life achieving these three cardinal goals? As you step out today,make it a goal to be fruitful to your generation;maximise that grace in you for exploit. #Glifefoundation

GREAT LEADERS ARE GREAT READERS

"The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus,when thou comest,bring with thee, and the books,but especially the parchments"_2Timothy 4:13

Great men are not made by anointing but by books.As Francis Bacon rightly said,"Reading maketh a full man;speaking a ready man;writing an exact man." Harold J. Ockenga,who took a suitcase full of books on his honeymoon,had this to say,"Read to refill the wells of inspiration".As extreme as his case may be,the importance of reading can't be overemphasised.

Brother Paul,with all his anointing,still requested for his books and parchments(2Timothy4:13). John Wesley had a great passion for reading and most of it was done on horseback.He rode sometimes ninety and often fifty miles a day! No wonder he was a great transformer.Do you know that Dr. Myles Munroe used to read not less than 24 leadership books in a year?

With all the audio and visual literatures,we have no excuse.If we must become agents of global transformation,the love and desire for knowledge must be a lifestyle.
