JUST DO IT!
“So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.” _Ezekiel 37:7

As a young corper in a predominantly Muslim community very far from home, the Word of the Lord came to me to start up, not just a corpers’ fellowship but also a students’ fellowship for the students in the school where I was observing my primary assignment. For a school where both principals in the senior and junior schools were both muslims and most of the corpers were not believers, it looked like a mission impossible. But when God is involved, the Hand of the Almighty Commander is always behind His commands. At the end of my service year, we had over hundreds of students turned to God and a vibrant corpers’ fellowship. And just recently I received a call from a young muslim student whom I had ministered to as a corper and with so much joy in his voice he said, “Thank you sir for reaching out to me, today I am not just a believer but also a Pastor in The Deeper Life Bible Church”. This is just one among the many calls I receive often.

It doesn’t matter how dry the bones of the situations around you are, as long as you are willing and obedient, the good of the land will be yours (Isaiah 1:19). Hidden in every land is always a good for men of obedience.  Quick and prompt action in line with divine direction is the secret to enjoying domination over life situations. One of the greatest keys to remaining a vessel of honour and glory in the Hand of the Father is to always do as commanded. In the place of obedience, God’s Word and direction is never lacking.

Today I pick up my pen once again in obedience to divine instruction because there is a reader that is one instruction away from his land of glory and celebration. Has God placed an idea in your head? Do you have a leading in your spirit to take an action? Just do it! YOU DON’T HAVE TO GET ALL THE INDICES RIGHT TO DO IT!

MY LAST MEAL

"And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not,neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord,which He spake by Elijah" _ 1Kings 17:15-16

We can be so consumed by the hustle and bustle of this life that faithlessness and selfishness creep in and deny us our grace of impact our generation. You might have given up to fate but God is daring you to try Him today.
Weep off those tears,crying won't move God.He operates on principles and the principles for receiving are ASKING and GIVING.Giving is the foundation on which our requests are granted.Giving serves as our strong reason for prayer to the Perfect Judge in the court of life.
Unfortunately we spend so much time asking for blessings without a solid ground on which our blessings can be placed.When we give God Almighty and humanity so much to the point of giving our last,like the widow at Zarephath, God in return blesses us much that He will gives us the best! God is saying today,"try me and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you down a blessing that there won't be room enough to contain!"
Hezekiah tried God with his services, Dorcas tried God with her alms to others, Cornelius challenged God with his devotion, the widow of Zarephath dared God with her last meal. What are you giving to God and humanity that will serve as a memorial for you?
It might be your last and only but if it can't perpetually meet your needs then it is only best for a seed, sow it!

JEHOVAH THE ARRANGER

"Now therefore be not grieved,nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life"_ Genesis 45:5

When the brothers of Joseph were selling him off to the Midianites merchants, they thought they were finally disposing him for damnation. They never knew that they were only serving as tools in the hands of the only wise God for transposing the young man to global promotion. I pray for the reader of this devotional,"Every setup in your life shall set you up to greatness in Jesus name,Amen".
Friends,God is a master planner.No matter where you are in life today, it is just a good enough position for Him to work out that wonder in your life. Modecai was just a mere gateman at the palace but that was just the perfect place God needed him to be at the moment in order to get Esther into the palace. It took living with pigs to get the prodigal son back to his right senses. No situation in life is too bad for God to use. He is the God that calls out light from darkness and I see Him calling out life out of that dark situation of your life in Jesus name, Amen!
We all have a purpose to fulfil and God knows how well to bring us to those things and places that are relevant to the fulfilment of our purposes. Activities that God will use to bring us to our place of glory are currently going on though we may not know it. That's why we must avoid shortcuts and compromises.Shortcuts are sharp routes capable of cutting our lives short and compromising can short change us for life.If Joseph had given in to Portiphar's wife, he would never have made it to the palace. Trust in God with all your heart and lean not on your human understanding, for we know only in part.
May Jehovah the Arranger arrange and sort you out for a glorious week in Jesus name, Amen!

P.T.O

"Mark the perfect man,and behold the upright:for the end of that man is peace"_ Psalms 37:37

In secondary school days, before the emergence of GSM, letters were the preferred mode of long distance communication. It was normal of students to write letters to their parents anytime they were in need and such letters went as such:
"Dear loving father,
How are you and the family? How is business too?Hope all is fine.How is mummy,Uche,Musa and Kehinde?..."
And the greetings goes on and on until the first page gets filled and then all of a sudden,you realise that you haven't really stated your purpose of writing and so you write boldly at the bottom of the paper, P.T.O (Please Turn Over).
Your life might just seem as though it is over without a purpose, but like the letter, that is not the end, you need to PTO!The other side has the main gist-your latter shall definitely be greater than the beginning. God is asking you this morning to Please Turn Over.
Some of us have really dwelled on a certain page of our lives for too long,there is need to P.T.O. The end of a chapter doesn't necessarily mean the end of the book, neither is the end of the scene the end of a movie.There might be suspense currently in the movie of your life but one think I am certain of is that story will end with you living happily ever after. But you need to P.T.O.
There is a handful of things,you might need to turn over from.For some of us, it might be a relationship; to some others, it might be an attitude. To many others it might just be your past success or failure. Your past success, no matter how good, is nothing compared to the success God has prepared for you in the future neither is your past failure a good enough reason to bury your head in everlasting shame when there is glory ahead!
I am sure that with God, your future is assured because His thought for you is of good and not of evil, to bring you to a glorious end.Just follow God and develop yourself in line with His purpose for you.

NAME IT!

"And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every creature,that was the name thereof."_ Genesis 2:19

God has created all things including today but it is left for you to give them a name. Like in the case of Adam,God still concurs with our declaration. Whatever we call our lives and situation is what they become. Positive call births positive result.
Names are prophecies on which lives are hooked and this prophecies are activated by words.Funny enough we release a lot of words into our world everyday and permit me to say that these words shape our lives.
For me, February is indeed my month of a new beginning and 2017 is my friend that will work in my favour to bring me to my place of glory. Nigeria is a fertile ground and it shall bring forth her increase for me.From Africa shall my glory spread abroad and men shall come from all over the world to witness the wonders that God is doing in the lives of young people through GLIFE Foundation. And as they behold, they will fear and put their trust in God.
I pray for you today that you might encounter the Lord God Almighty; as in Him lies the deep things and mysteries of your life and that He might enable you to speak the right words at every state and situation. I see greatness in you,just speak it out!
ACTION POINT
Take out time at regular interval to speak positive words into your life and endeavours.In times of pressure, rather than speak negativity,remain silent.

DON'T GIVE ME, MAKE ME (Part 2)

"For as the rain cometh down,and the snow from heaven,and returneth not thither,but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud,that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: "_ Isaiah 55:10
Everything that comes to a man's life has dual function and the mentality of the man determines what function it will serve. For some,school is place to acquire certificate while to other it is a place of knowledge and network. To some, money is a god that controls their life; to others it is a servant that answers to all things. To some, church is an outsourcing company where prayer requests are dropped and solutions sought in ernest and so once it seems not to be forthcoming, an alternative is sought for;to others church is a family to whom one owes allegiance,service and love. To some public office is a platform for amassing wealth and witch hunting any opposition ; to others,it is a platform for selfless service to humanity. To some,life is all about hustling to survival no matter what;to others life is about living and not mere existing, taking dominion and impact.
The group you belong to is determined by your mindset. Men with the 'give me' mentality are referred to in our opening quote as 'eaters' but there is a different set of people with the 'make me' mentality-the bible passage refers to them as 'sowers. To the eater,divine benefits come as bread but to sowers,it comes as seeds. Bread is eaten but seeds are sown. Seeds multiply but bread diminish. God can only minister bread to you as food to be eaten but He will always multiply your seed sown (2Cor 9:10).
Permit me to say that whatsoever you have that cannot meet your need is simply a seed. Time is never enough so it is a seed,which if sown into positive ventures, yields her increase. That's why I pity students who can't read their books but will always be chats. That is your seed that you have converted to bread because of your mentality. No wonder civil servants retire wretched.Their peanut of a salary was consumed in luxury when they ought to have invested(sown) them as seeds.
Happy new months friends, February 2016 is a month of a New Beginning. It is needful that we go into it with a positive mentality-the mentality that believes in life as a process,the 'make me' mentality. As you seek to be made by God,my prayer for you is that God will make you a wonder to your generation.

ACCESSING GREATNESS THROUGH GOOD REASONING

There is a story of a farmer who had a mole for a pet and he loved it so much but one day the mole fell into a well. After so much effort to get the mole out of the well to no avail, the farmer decided to bury his poor pet by covering the well with earth rather than helplessly watch it die an agonising death by drowning. As sympathisers assisted in heaping sand into the well,the mole kept struggling for life.In the midst of all the traumatic drama, the mole suddenly thought out an idea! "This earth could actually serve as steps out!",the mole said to itself and immediately got to work shaking off the earth being heaped on it and using them as stepping stones. In no distant time, the mole was out of its grave.
Like the mole,how trully different life will be if we could,in the midst of the storms of life,reason through rather than wail and worry.
Every good reasoning metamorphoses into an action plan.Mark 15:17,regarding the prodigal son,noted "And he came to himself, he said...". Good reasoning truely results to planning and planning metamorphoses into action which produces result, as evident in the life of the prodigal son. However, in the absence of good reasoning, we become victims of circumstances,being tossed to and fro by the storms of life.
How do I ensure my reasoning is good? The answer is quite simple - humility. We must be humble enough to tell our own self the truth if we must reason to get result. Enough of the search for good excuses and playing of the blame game.There is no one to blame,not even yourself.Once it has happened, it has happened. The question is, now that it has happened,how do I remedy the situation and also ensure that it never happens again? Pride is an enemy to humility but a husband to excuses and the father of failure. Excuses are good reasons for bad result.
Good reasoning is not seeking who to blame neither is it the search for excuse. It is logical thinking that generates an action plan for result. It is not worrying. Worrying is simply an emotional destructive mental attitude that leaves the participant hypertensive and inactive. If all your mental work leaves you with is fear and inaction, then that is worrying.
How do I reason? There are 3 key dimensions of reasoning.The first is reasoning with self. Like the prodigal son,there is need to take a break, admist all the hustle and bustle, and discuss with yourself.Yes!Once in a while,you need to seat yourself down,look yourself eye ball to eye ball and tell yourself the truth about yourself and your life.
The second dimension of reasoning is reasoning with others.This involves getting other people's viewpoint, especially those ahead of you.One of the best ways of reasoning with great men is through their books.Daniel,while seeking for solutions as it pertains to the captivity of Isreal,finally testified in Daniel 9:2,saying,"In the first year of his reign,I Daniel understood by books the number of the years..." Truely,solutions to most of our problems in life are in books and readers will always remain leaders.Why? Because they reason with distant men from their books!The more we read,the more we develop capacity.Thanks to technology, we now have audio books, so you can now listen to books.Isn't that amazing!People who we associate with,either by books or physical contact,determine how we reason.The get-rich-quick mentality of my generation is as a result of the kind of the hype on social media,schools and environment.If we must change that,then there is need for the right association.
The third and most important dimension of good reasoning is reasoning with God.Can one actually reason with God?Yes!In Isaiah 1:18,God says,"Come now,and let us reason together..."God is not that wicked taskmaster who does whatever He wants without our consent. Not as though He can't but He won't! Because He is a loving father who is always ready to hear us out.He is willing to listen to your point of view and He is ready NOW.He says,"Come NOW", not tomorrow. Isaiah 41:21 says,"Present your case,says the LORD,Bring forth your strong reasons,says the King of Jacob". Wow!That's amazing. God wants me to present my case and give my reasons. The great thing about reasoning with God is that He never leaves you without a solution!
God's solution to our problems and challenges are embedded in His instructions for us. After inviting us to come and reason with Him,God goes futher to assure us in Isaiah 1:19 that we will be willing and obedient to the directives that He will give us, then we certainly will partake of the good of the land. Every greatness is tied to an instruction,great men are men that follow instructions and instructions are received at the table of good reasoning.
Welcome to my world.The key to greatness is indeed available but we can only access it if we are willing to reason with ourselves,with our fathers (mentors) and above all with God.You are destined to be great so access your greatness at the table of good reasoning.
