THE LEADER'S DIARY -20th February 2016

The Woman, A god to the Man
'And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.' _Genesis 2:18
One of God's work in our lives as humans is the role of a helper. The Bible is filled with testimonies of men acknowledging God Almighty as such: In Psalms 54:4, David notes,"Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul." while 1Samuel 7:12,Samuel addressed God as ' Jehovah Ebenezer' saying "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us".These are just drops admits the ocean of verses in the Bible that refer to God as a helper for mankind.
However the opening verse projects a scenerio where even God identified a need for a specially designed and programmed helper for the man(I am referring to a male in this instance). In other word, even God identified and agreed that it is no His place to function as helper in that case so He created another 'god'- the woman.I stand to be corrected but I insist that there are certain areas of a man life where no one,not even God, can help him other than his woman. No wonder the Bible admits that he that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favour from God.This verse simply implies that the favour is an act of help and that act of help and its benefits God has deposited in the woman as a wife.
A man desiring to rule his world must see his wife as a god, only inferior to God Almighty, and treat her as such.As Pastor E.A. Adeboye notes,"A helper connotes an assistance but not an inferiority". Otherwise will we also say that God is our rag because He is also our helper?
However, wherever there is a god, there is a devil.Likewise,a woman,if care is not taken, might end up as a devil in a man's house all the name of a wife. She that must be treated like a god must first show herself worthy of such an elevated office. As a woman, you must know and adhere to the fact that your purpose in marriage is to help and not to head.Your coming in should bring favour and betterment into the life of the man.Such of course requires a lot of spiritual, mental and emotional sacrifice. As a leader of influence in the house, you must influence everything to work in line with favour which of course is domicile in you.
In conclusion, please marriage is not a pension plan neither is the man your gratuity as a woman. On the other hand, the woman is not your slave sir.She is your god, sent by your God to you, a divine ambassador. So treat her as such!

GLIFE FOUNDATION PROMOTES POSITIVE LEADERSHIP AND MASS COMPUTER LITERACY: WOULD YOU NOT RATHER BE A PART?

With the dominance of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in global affairs, it will not be an overstatement to say that ICT compliance is a necessity for every individual who desires to be productive and relevant in our modern day society. The application of ICT currently cut across every sphere of human endeavour and Africa, particularly Nigeria, is not left out of the wave of digitalization. In 2014, Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB), the organization in charge of conducting the mandatory entry examination into higher institutions in Nigeria, introduced a computer-based option of testing candidates intending to gain admission into higher institutions. By 2015, this computer-based had been made compulsory, replacing the analog option that existed the previous year. The country’s electoral system has also introduced the electronic voting system. Corporate organizations are not left out of this computerization process thus making ICT compliance not just an added advantage, as it used to be, but a necessity for being employable in the country. Unfortunately, a field survey done in a selected higher institutions in Enugu by our organization showed that a whopping 80% cannot effectively operate basic user friendly softwares like Microsoft Office (i.e. MS Word, Excel, etc). In the rural area, the case is even worst as the rural dwellers do not even have access to computers let alone knowing how to operate them. This project therefore intends to solve this challenge by providing youths with basic computer trainings free of charge while integrating fundamental positive value orientation in the training curriculum. This addition is aimed at imputing positive value system in participants with the view to reduce corruption and other social vices ravaging the society as well as raise young leaders that are physically, mentally and spiritually sound.
The target beneficiaries of this project are basically youths between the ages of 15-35 years. The main goal of this project is to raise youths with positive leadership values that are ICT literates. This is to be achieved by running a two (2) months free computer training in selected communities.
2015 edition hosted in Akegbe Ugwu in Nkanu-West Local Government Area in Enugu State, Nigeria had over fifty (50) beneficiaries comprising of basically youths. Enjoy the photo clips:

The future and hope of Africa and the world at large is in our hands. We will either make it or mar it. It is all the function of choice. Enough of the unnecessary blame game, it is time to step forward and take action. With enough passion and development, we are sure to turn our scars to stars, our shame to fame, and our obstacles to miracles. The change begins with us.
In life, there are various forms of investments we can plunge our time, efforts and resources into but the most profitable of them all is investment in human life. To transform a person’s life to the point that he becomes useful to himself, his family, society and creator is the key to joy unspeakable. True success is helping others succeed. As William Ward puts it, “There are three keys to more abundant living: caring for others, daring for others and sharing with others”. So, would you not rather be a part of this change vision?

THE LEADER'S DIARY

Maturity is My Responsibility

Apart from the responsibility of choosing where to belong (membership), we also have the daily responsibility of desiring and seeking after maturity. Galatians  4:1 says, "Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;".Growth is necessity for dominion. We can't rule our world if we refuse to grow.
Maturity is a daily necessity for continuous success and relevance in life. It involves the act of shedding the leaves of irresponsibility and selfishness and growing fresh leaves of responsibility and selflessness. Even the world itself is on progressive motion thus stagnancy is not an option for global transformers like you and I. No wonder the proverb in pidgin English says, "I get am before no be property".
Do you know that the original translation for the words 'perfection' and 'perfect' as mostly used in the Scripture actually refer to maturity and mature respectively.  So when God said to Abraham in Genesis 17:1,"...Walk before me and be thou perfect", He actually said, "Walk before me and be mature". That was of course after Abraham had committed the blunder with Hagar in chapter 16. When Ephesians 4:12-13 says, "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:",it actually refers to "the maturity of the saints...unto a matured man, unto the measure of the fulness of Christ". We cannot fully do the work of the ministry (service) neither can we come to the fulness of Godship without maturity.
God is more interested in our growth (maturity) than He is in our comfort. One of our mentors in the Foundation will always ask a rhetoric question, "How many of you will give your minors your car key so he can go and drive your car just because he is crying so hard?" The same way, there are things that God can easily do for us in His might which He will not do in His wisdom because we are not matured enough to have them.
Maturity comes in the place of learning and practice. Learning and practice are products of the acquisition and right application of knowledge (information).
2016 is almost one month down, having chosen where to belong, let's also take the responsibility of growing in the area of choice. Have a maturity oriented day!

THE LEADER’S DIARY

-27th January 2016

Membership is My Responsibility
Greatness in life is centred on responsibilities taken or ignored. There are areas of our lives that we must take responsibility for maximum support. One of such areas is our membership.
The world we live in has two divides in every ramification. For instant, there is the poor and the rich, the weak and the strong, the good and the bad, the employed and the unemployed, etc. it is therefore a needful priority to decide which side of the divide to belong to. This is because our personality, value system and ideals are shaped by the fraternity we align to. One of the greatest undoing of our generation is the act of sitting on the wall. Men who light their world take a stand!
It is my responsibility to belong. Lukewarmness is the highest form of irresponsibility. We cannot complain about poor educational system and still buy results. We can’t complain about corruption and yet see it as a necessity when our kinsman is involved. That is hypocrisy! Men like Sir Winston Churchill and Rev. Martin Luther Jr. remain household names today because they took a stand. You and I can also be like one of such men. What fraternity do you belong to? Why not fly that colour for the whole world to see. Remember no matter what may, kerosene can never  blend with water. So friends, stand out and don’t blend!

MEN THAT TURN THE WORLD AROUND (PART TWO)

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light and Kings to the brightness of your dawn” Isaiah 60:1-3
Over years, men have impacted this world of ours in various ways. History will be slow to forget the lights of Martin Luther, Martin Luther King Jr, Micheal Jackson, Micheal Johnson, Pele, Samuel L. Jackson, Thomas Edison, Hitler, Napoleon Bonaparte, Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkurumah, Iddi Amin, Bill Gates, Aristotle, Karthryn Khulman, Myles Muroe, Ben Carson, Osama Bin Laden, etc. Forgive us if your role model wasn’t mentioned as the list is unending. Some made good impact, others bad and ugly. But the truth remains that like that Bible verse above clearly states, the world of today is in gross darkness. Our big question comes: Can we lighten up the world? Or is our part to live in its darkness as we have met it?
The singular truth remains that God created us to make positive impact, “to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion” (Genesis 1:28). That is God’s 5 point agenda for man and these agenda were for planet earth and not heaven! To enable us achieve these, He created us in His own image with His likeness (Spirit and personality). Today we share God’s big idea for the world. They are:
1.      To extend His kingdom on earth not to set up a religion. It was not God’s idea for us to gather in a hall and clap hands and do all those religious jamboree, no! His idea was and still remains that we receive His light (by being born again) and we go out there and shine. To shine, in this context, refers to reflecting His glory, personality and culture in our society whether as a sportsman, musician, doctor, engineer, force man, lawyer, teacher or even politician. In a nut shell, we have three levels of operation on earth: be born again, identify purpose and impact our world. So let’s find the level we are in and move up! Going to church is like going to the restaurant to eat, we don’t live to eat, we eat to live so lets stop playing religion because that is not our main task rather fellowship with one another is an energizing process.
2.      To colonise the earth with heaven and not to take us to heaven. If God’s sole reason of us getting born again is to take us to heaven, then there will be no to keep us here after we have been saved (born again). Good people, “For this is what the Lord says – He who created the heavens, He is God; He fashioned and made the earth, He founded it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited” (Isaiah 45:18)! The earth is our place of primary assignment; no man gets rewarded for sitting mute and waiting for pay day. My dear Christian, stop standing and waiting for Christ to come and take you to heaven, go out and impact your world. “The heaven, even the heavens are the Lord’s: but the earth has He given to the children of men” (Psalms 115:16). The so called ‘sinners’ and ‘devil’s agents’ are not sitting and waiting for hell, they are about their fathers business, infesting the internets with pornography, the media with all sort of corrupt images and sound, the political systems with corruption, the educational system with all forms of social vices and we, the so called ‘elect’, are just sitting and singing, “This world is not my own, I am just a passer-by…”. That is an error! We are no passer-bys, we are fishers of men! The fisherman doesn’t just pass by the sea; he stays on it and makes some good catch. You can take a pause and ask yourself, “How much of heaven have I released on earth?”
3.      To fill the earth with the culture of heaven. A kingdom is not a place; it is a lifestyle, a culture. When the colonial masters came to Africa, they came with their kingdom, tagged it civilization and today, we live the western lifestyle. We even wear suit under the hot sun! All in the name of civilization. When a fellow Nigerian commits grammatical blunder in English, we see him as an illiterate because we now live with the western culture. The same way, just like the Western men infested us with their way of life so also God requires us to influence our world. Not by carrying guns and fighting some damned ‘holy war’. It is simple, just arise and shine! Live a life of purpose not of money. Add value to men’s lives and they will follow you.
In GLIFE Foundation, we believe that we owe our world and God a responsibility to show forth His glory by impacting our world that why we present to you the first edition of our FREE MEGA ICT & BASIC LEADERSHIP TRAINING. The major goal of this program is to raise technologically sound youths with Kingdom leadership values and traits that will take over the various sectors of the society, bringing about social transformation.
